The battle between the founder members of Wiper Democratic Movement senator Johnson Muthama and NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka has seen the two part ways.
Muthama has said that he will not be involved in active Wiper politics but will campaign for Raila Odinga countrywide. The outspoken senator has given his party boss (Musyoka) the conditions he has to meet if he wants him (Muthama) to work for Wiper.
“As long as you mistreat anyone in this party, we will always disagree. Whether am in or out, you will always part be of me,” said Senator Muthama.
The Machakos County senator revealed that his party boss has mistreated loyal Wiper members like Bernard Kiala. According to him, this is undemocratic and betrayal to party supporters. He said that he is not ready to suffer under Wavinya as he has been treated by Mutua’s rein. He will only be at peace with Musyoka if respect and fairness are restored.
Muthama, however, said as he campaigns for Raila Odinga, he will also be doing so for Kalonzo Musyoka who is Raila’s deputy.
The founder member however disputed the talk that he has ditched Wiper. He confirmed that he will continue paying the Sh50,000 monthly to it but will not be an active member in its events.
