Machakos senator Johnson Muthama has revealed why he differs with Governor Alfred Mutua.

Senator Muthama claims that governor Mutua never listens and that it has been difficult for him to work with the governor in the last four years.

In an interview with K24 on Monday, Muthama claimed that his bad relationship with Mutua started even before the 2013 general election.

The senator claimed that Mutua is self-centered and does not value opinion in decision making.

“It has been difficult to work with Mutua since 2013 because he never listens and never gives chance for opinion,” the senator added.

The Machakos senator also accused Governor Mutua of allegedly playing deceitful politics. He alleged that Governor Mutua relies on propaganda and publicity to gain political mileage.

The Machakos senator said that he cannot work with Mutua adding that he will not serve as senator if Mutua will be re-elected in August 8 polls.

“It will be difficult for me to work with Mutua or any other bad governor even if I am re-elected in the August polls,” he said.

Muthama cautioned Machakos locals endorsing Mutua re-election claiming that the governor has not performed and also criticized Mutua Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Party saying that it is a tool to confuse and divide the Kamba community.

Muthama and Mutua are not seeing each other eye to eye and have in the recent past engaged in public spats.

Wiper Party is keen to ensure Dr Mutua losses the August polls for allegedly betraying the Kalonzo Musyoka led outfit.

Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti and Machakos deputy governor among others are eyeing to send Governor Mutua packing.Wavinya and Kiala will battle it out in the Wiper primaries slated for Friday this week.
