Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama Tuesday lampooned President Kenyatta terming him a beneficiary of a flawed electoral process in the country. The outspoken senator dared Uhuru to a credible and fair contest with Nasa presidential contender Raila Odinga come August 8."Uhuru Kenyatta is simply a beneficiary of flawed elections. He cannot win in a fair contest and we will prove that to him on August 8 when Raila beats him," he said.
Uhuru was declared the duly elected president in 2013 following a Supreme Court ruling that dismissed an appeal by Odinga challenging his victory.
Muthama added that Nasa will go on with its Adopt a polling station strategy despite opposition from acting Interior CS Fred Matiangi. He was speaking during a political rally in Laare in Tharaka Nithi county.
Among those in attendance included Mr Odinga, Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and his Amani Coalition counterpart Musalia Mudavadi among a host of other local politicians.
