Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama has said the opposition coalition would hold a series of street demonstrations over corruption.

Muthama, however, did not specify when the street protests would be held. Speaking at a press conference at his Nairobi office, the vocal Machakos County Senator warned that there is no one to defend Kenyans against corruption and the opposition would take to the street to put the government on notice.

“Mark my words, where we are now, we have no one to defend or protect us. But we are not going to give notice to the government to rectify their misdeeds," Muthama said. 

"Very soon we will be on the streets and it will not be business as usual,” he added.
