Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama has challenged three National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetangula to form one party and continue with their course since the government is reluctant in including them in the handshake.
He said the trio should not abandon their original course of ensuring democracy and electoral justice due to the absence of Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking in Athi River, Mavoko sub-county of Machakos county on Sunday, Muthama said Kalonzo, Mudavadi, and Wetangula are key characters in the country's politics and should not be treated as lesser beings.
Muthama said that he will not sit idle and watch the principals be disgraced and treated as insignificant in the country's politics.
"Kalonzo, Wetangula, and Mudavadi have more than a million votes at their disposal from their communities and shouldn't be ignored, No! we won't sit and watch as it happens" he said.
The former Senator noted that unless the three principals are included, then the now famous handshake between President Kenyatta and Raila is incomplete.
Muthama's sentiments were shared by Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi who observed that the president should call for a national unity talk where all the opposition leaders are present.
Other leaders who were present include Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula, Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana among others.
