The body, identified as that of Dominic Ng’ang’a, was discovered by passersby at around 7.00am, Wednesday morning, and police were informed immediately.

According to his father Hosea Ndungu, Ng’ang’a left home on Monday morning for his work place in Eburru hills where he runs a charcoal business together with his brother.

“My son works prepares charcoal for sell and I had had not received any reports of a conflict between him and any person,” he said.

The father noted that he was informed of his death by one of his sons early today through the phone.

The mutilated body had the eyes gorged out while the lips, ears and nose were also missing, and parts of the face, skinned.

Eye witnesses said that the man might have been killed elsewhere and his body dumped by the roadside.

They decried over increased cases of insecurity in the area.

The incident comes three months after the body of a child was discovered around the same area with the tongue missing.

Detectives from Gilgil police station arrived at the scene and took the body to Gilgil Hospital Mortuary.
