Machakos gubernatorial race is gaining momentum and the incumbent governor Alfred Mutua has attacked his competitor Wavinya Ndeti for mastering selling land as opposed to fostering development.
He dismissed her win and stated that what she got was pure exaggeration. He wondered how she could get such votes when it was not a public holiday. Wavinya won the nominations twice against Mutua’s deputy Benard Kiala.
“How could she win the primaries with such a margin? Where in this world? She won with more votes than what a general election produced. Many saw the video where she was marking her own votes,” Mutua said.
The Chap Chap boss said that his competitor is not fit for Machakos because she has vowed to destroy everything that he has built in Machakos instead of supporting him or continuing in case she wins. He said that he is confident of a win.
“Wavinya is good at selling land. She has said she will destroy all that I have done,” he added.
However, the governor said that their rivalry is purely political. He confirmed that all the differences between them is purely political.
“I do not have any beef with her because she is only a competitor,” said Mutua
