Machakos County Governor, Alfred Mutua is in Kwale County for 2017-2018 Governors Induction Workshop.
The meeting involving governors, deputy governors and National Government stakeholders, kicked off on Thursday at Diani Reef Hotel.
President Uhuru Kenyatta officially opened the workshop, which is set to last for three days.
The chairman of Maendeleo Chapchap, on his twitter account, said the county governments and National Government should work closely as the only way to make sure that devolution benefited all Kenyans.
“The County and National governments working together is the best way devolution will benefit the citizens of Kenya,” said Mutua.
During the meeting, Mutua and other governors will interact with National Government representatives such as Ethics and Ant-Corruption Commission Chairman, Hon. Eliud Wabukhala, in discussing major development topics such as security and corruption control.
Earlier on Thursday, President Kenyatta said that he was determined to ensure all Kenyans enjoyed National Government services and expressed his hopes of the country road prosperity through devolution.
