Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua has urged leaders in the county to bury their differences and work towards a common goal which is to realise development for residents.
In a press conference with journalists at county offices on Thursday, Mutua welcomed all leaders in the county urging them to support his government.
Mutua said that he has no ill feelings or opinions against elected or nominated leaders in the county.
“The door is wide open for anyone willing and ready to work with me, I have no personal differences with anyone,” said Mutua.
The Machakos Governor specifically welcomed county Senator Johnstone Muthama asking him to support the county.
Mutua said they are good friends but only differ on few political stands.
“I often welcome him (Muthama) on several occasions to share a cup of tea with me as we discuss issues,” said Mutua.
Governor Mutua said that development of the county needs the support of all leaders and residents.
Mutua further said that unity of leaders and locals will propel the county to higher development standards.
The Governor has been at loggerheads with some leaders including Senator Muthama in the past.
