Machakos County Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has called on residents and Kenyans to tour and explore the Machakos people's park on Mashujaa day slated for this Friday countrywide.
Mutua was speaking to an audience in the People's park when he made an impromptu visit to the site that he introduced for purposes of Entertainment and nature walk.
The Governor appealed to Kenyans to come and celebrate the Mashujaa day at Machakos park and interact with each other and promote National cohesion.
"Let us not allow politics to control how we socialize and live with people from other tribes in Machakos. We want to live together as brothers and sisters and build the beautiful future that we have been dreaming of," said Mutua.
He further said that his County government will continue investing in tourism as he seeks to develop Machakos as an ancient town and continue serving his people accordingly.
The Governor stressed the importance of making use of social amenities within Machakos County and urged residents to be proud of Machakos.
