The Governor also voiced his full support of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.

Mutua has ignored the branding of his party as a briefcase party by Machakos Senator Johnsone Muthama.

He has confirmed his unwavering determination to ensure that Kambas vote for Jubilee in the next elections.

The county boss believes that Jubilee is the only team that will help Maendeleo Chap Chap fulfill its promises to the electorate.

Speaking in Kitui County, Mutua announced a national coverage of his party and admirable local support.

Aspirants will also be given financial as well as material support.

"I am getting overwhelming support from corners in the three Ukambani counties. We will have candidates all over the country," said Mutua.

He also aired his concern for the sluggish development in the region and Kenya at large.

While reflecting on his childhood memories; Mutua said education, unemployment and food insecurity should be prioritised in development programmes.

"We need to change the way we do things. We must pursue goals that will increase food production for domestic use, improve the quality of education and focus on job creation," added Mutua.
