Governor Alfred Mutua addresses Kyanzavi residents. [Photo/Cyprian Muthoka]Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua has officially revealed that he will vie for the Presidential seat in the 2022 General Elections.
Mutua shared the sentiment during a political rally at Kyanzavi town where he continued to campaign for President Uhuru Kenyatta wooing the residents to support the Jubilee government come October.
"I will continue advocating for a peaceful election and supporting Jubilee government because I want development for the people of Machakos. All this is with an aim of creating a good platform for me to gain support come 2022 where I will vie for the Presidential seat", said Mutua.
Mutua further urged Kyanzavi residents to shun from immature politics warning them not to be incited by other opposition leaders within the region.
Mutua vowed to continue working together with the Jubilee fraternity saying it is the only platform of bringing development to the people of Machakos.
The Governor is scheduled to tour Syanthi and Katangini areas this Saturday as he intensifies his campaign for Uhuru.
