Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has warned Kenyans against voting for leaders who perpetuate corruption, tribalism and marginalization of communities.
According to Mutua, politicians who perpetuate tribalism and corruption are not fit to be voted as leaders.
Speaking in Embu Town during a meet the people tour on Saturday, Mutua asked Kenyans to vote out leaders who loot taxpayer’s money and deny locals access to services.
Governor Mutua said that the country needs leaders who will champion development without discrimination.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Party leader observed the country will register development if bad leaders are voted out in the August polls.
“I urge Kenyans who have registered as voters to endorse leaders who will equally champion for development,” he said.
Governor Mutua said that the country is unable to achieve its development goals because of poor leadership perpetuated with corruption, tribalism and marginalization.
The Machakos governor called on Kenyans to remain peaceful and avoid being swayed by selfish politicians ahead of the August 8 general election.
Mutua said that the country needs to remain united and peaceful before, during and after the August election.
