Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua and his Kericho counterpart Prof Paul Chepkwony tuesday toured various parts of Machakos county, initiated development projects and addressed thousands of residents.

The duo began the day at Kenyatta stadium and later addressed wananchi at the Muindi Mbingu and Mulu Mutisya gardens as well as at Machakos bus park where they had their shoes done by local shoe shiners. 

The delegation also toured the Makutano Kithimani highway where they checked in at the road's rest area and shared lunch with residents.

At Mbiuni they visited a vegetable farm that uses water from one of the dams drilled by the county. 

The county heads closed the day at Masinga dam where governor Mutua has promised to set up a tourism centre.
