Photo/the-star.co.keMaendeleo ChapChap leader and Machakos governor Alfred Mutua has called on aspirants rigged out in the ongoing party primaries to join his party.Mutua has said that his party is open to working with anybody who shares similar ideas."If things have not worked out well in the primaries, just join Maendeleo Chap Chap," Mutua said in a statement.The governor said that the law allowed party hopping up to May 8, being three months to the election."No candidate should be locked out of the ballot. The law is very clear on the issue."Mutua's appeal comes at a time when the ongoing party primaries have been marred with incidences of alleged rigging and violence.The Jubilee party has been the latest causality with nominations being postponed indefinitely after a chaotic day one.
