Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua at a past function( Photo/ nairobiwire.com)Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has called upon Former Kathaini MP Wavinya Ndeti to join his government after defeating her during this year’s general elections.
Mutua asked Ndeti to forget about the past in order to support him in building the county in the next five years. The county boss said that he is ready to give Wavinya Ndeti a job if she is interested.
“I wish to extend an olive branch to my opponents. The elections are now behind us, let us join hands and work together for the benefit of our people” read part of his message.
The county boss also thanked the residents of Machakos for giving him another chance to serve them, adding that he will give his best in the next five years of his rule.
"It is with great humility and honour that my Deputy Eng. Francis Maliti and I register our appreciation to the great people of Machakos for trusting us to propel the County to greater heights for another term. It has been a battle that, we, who have progressive ideas, have won,” he added. The incumbent governor retained his post after garnering 243157 votes against Wavinya Ndeti’s203294 votes (44.52%).
