Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua Monday fired 3 officers accused of asking for bribes from developers in Utawala area of Mavoko, Machakos county.
According to the letter addressed to the three namely; Jackson Muthoka – Revenue Officer, Stancilas Nthale Mbaluka and Cosmas Limo both Inspectorate Officers,
the cancer of corruption is so permissive that it requires special resolve to fight it.
"It is unfortunate that everywhere you tour Wananchi are being fleeced and monies meant for development stolen by unscrupulous leaders and public servants." The letter partly read.
Mutua further gave notice to all corrupt inspectorate and revenue officers saying there will be more suspensions if caught engaging in malpractices such as diverting revenue.
