Machakos County Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has been accused of addressing issues that are of importance to him and his image but not to the residents of Machakos by his deputy, Benard Kiala.
Speaking during a television interview on K24, Kiala noted that Mutua has prioritized issues he wants done but he has failed to follow what what the people of Machakos want.
"Governor Mutua has only addressed issues that are of importance to him. Residents are suffering in villages with lack of water among other problems facing them. If elected as governor in 2017, I will listen to the people of Machakos and address issues they only raise to me," he said.
He said that Machakos people deserve a leader who will listen to their grievances and address them amicably.
"The grievances of the people of Machakos have not been addressed well. Mutua is using force in his leadership. It is time for the people to vote him out in 2017 for a better Machakos county," he noted.
He said that working with Mutua has been a challenge to him since 2013 and he has no option rather than to go for the seat in 2017.
He declared interest to vie for Machakos gubernatorial seat in 2017 to challenge his boss.
