Speaking at Kayole trading centre on Wednesday, Mutua said that he has no time to take part in selfish and petty politics.

The Governor also said that he will not allow selfish politicians to antagonize Machakos people.

“I want to assure you (residents) that I will not indulge in politics that has no value for Kenyans,” he said.

Mutua stated that his agenda is to ensure Machakos people have access to quality and affordable services.

He indicated that politics will not address the pertinent issues facing Kenyans and that politicians should stop and work for the people who elected them.

Mutua added that Kenyans are tired of empty promises being given out by majority of politicians who he accused of neglecting the people who elected them to office. “It’s unfortunate that majority of politicians are politicking yet the people who elected them are suffering,” he added.

Mutua said that he will only work with leaders who are development oriented and who are ready to unite Kenyans.

He called on Machakos MPs and Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) to support his development agenda which he said is meant to uplift the living standards of the people.
