I am ready and willing to work with other leaders in Machakos and across Ukambani region only if they respect each other and support development, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has said.
Addressing the press at the county headquarters yesterday, Mutua said that he will work with leaders who have and show respect for other leaders and the people.
Mutua said that he has no ill feelings against anyone adding that his agenda is ti promote the living standards of the people.
“I am ready to work with leaders who have respect for the public, I have no bad feelings or grudge on anyone,” he said.
Mutua however warned that he will not tolerate or associate with leaders who he said are hindrance to development.
He stated that his agenda is to work for the people and those who create hindrance are enemies of progress.
Mutua further said that he will not be afraid by leaders who are allegedly plotting to oust him. “I am not afraid of being impeached so long as I know I am fighting for the welfare of Machakos people,” he said.
At the same time, Mutua asked those accusing him of impropriety to present the evidence to the police instead of tarnishing his name in public.
He said he will continue to stand on truth and fight for the rights and welfare of the people who elected him to the office.
Mutua further said that he has not time for politics and that those thinking they can sway his stand are in for a rude shock.
