Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua Tuesday launched the Machakos investment promotion portal.
Mutua was accompanied by his Kericho counter part Prof Paul Chepkwony.
The investment promotion portal is an online one-stop-shop that provides an informational repository of investment opportunities available in the county through an interactive platform where potential domestic and foreign investors can receive end-to-end follow up on investment opportunities and inquiries.
The portal was developed by the World Bank Group through the Kenya Investment Climate Program 2 for the technical assistance to Machakos county government on the strategy design and implementation.
Mutua extended his gratitude to the Machakos Investment Promotion Board for the strategic, organisational and operational framework geared to market Machakos as a brand.
According to Mutua works will begin in the new Machakos city starting January. Mutua also stated the county will grant incentives such as tax reliefs to help investors set up their investment and Make machakos county the investment hub.
