Maendeleo Chap Chap Party (MCCP) leader Dr Alfred Mutua met various aspirants for various positions from Central and Mt Kenya region, Friday.
The meeting brought together people interested in vying for various positions including governors, senators, members of parliament, women representatives to Members of County Assemblies.
They spoke about the party agenda, structure, campaign strategies and tactics.
"As a party we abhor ignorance and our desire is to enlighten our people not to lag behind because MCCP is intended to revolutionize the way politics is done on this country,'' said the Machakos County governor.
"We are in essence changing the way politics is done in Kenya. Soon we will embark on massive grassroots recruitment in the whole Country,'' he added.
He said MCCP's pursuit was to have the largest party following across the nation.
Mutua further disclosed that the party would conduct national delegates conference early 2017, for democracy purposes.
"We look forward to holding the party National Delegates Conference early next year.''
''Our agenda is to grow the Kenyan economy, grow infrastructure, and improve the quality of education and health. That is the MCCP agenda,'' said the Wiper party defector.
