Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has made several changes in the county government in a move that he says will improve service delivery.

The governor yesterday said that the changes are to take effect immediately.

George Kioko is now the county minister for lands, energy, environment and natural resources while Joshua Musili takes over the transport, public works and housing docket.

The dockets that will got new chief officers include public service, labour and ICT (Grace Mutuku) tourism, culture and sports (Kennedy Auma), education, youth and social welfare (Jackson Kalla) and health and emergency services (Collins Kaia)

The changes were welcomed by the residents of the county, who expressed their confidence in their governor.
