Maendeleo Chap Chap has headed to the Coastal city of Mombasa to popularise its agenda ahead of the August 8, polls.
Addressing his supporters in Nyali, the party's chair Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua said he is neither affiliated to Jubilee nor Cord.
Mutua said the party is keen on fronting candidates to vie for various posts come election time.
"Candidates of Maendeleo Chap Chap will vie on the party ticket," said Mutua.
Meanwhile, the governor cautioned opposition leaders against disrespecting the president, regardless of having varying political views.
The party has been gaining traction especially in the Kamba region, as Mutua hopes to get even more supporters in other regions.
He called upon those still in oblivion to join his party, that he described as democratic party that is development oriented.
