Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has promised to give incentives to local and foreign investors who will pump money into the county’s economy.

Mutua states his government recognizes the role of investors in realization of social-economic development.

The Machakos governor now wants investors to invest in the county and help boost realization of development.

Mutua says that the county government has created a friendly environment for doing business with both local and foreign investors.

Speaking during a meeting with officials from Bravo Food Industries Limited who paid him a courtesy call at his office in Machakos on Wednesday, Mutua said that Machakos is an investment hub that investors should take advantage of.

He observed that the county’s strategic location is a get-way to economic development. “As the county government we have put in place key measures aimed at attracting local and foreign investments,” he said.

Mutua added that the county has been able to strick multi-million investment deals with several local and foreign investors.

 Governor Mutua further said that the county has developed friendly investor relationship policies and programs.

The Machakos boss stated that unemployment and poverty will be curbed through investments.

“Our key focus is to improve the living standards of the pole through service delivery which will be more achieved through local and foreign investment,” he added.

The Bravo Food Industries is seeking to set up a manufacturing plant in Athi-River. The company manufactures carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks.
