Governor Mutua asked Kenyans to emulate President Uhuru Kenyatta whom he said issued positive remarks at the funeral on Wednesday.

"This is the time when we should be talking about development issues, not time for elected leaders to go on talking about who should be elected on what political party," he said.

Mutua said he was against the kind of politics fronted by the opposition. He said Raila's rhetoric cannot be associated with any meaningful development projects despite his 40-year political life span.

Speaking at Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony's office where he is on a two-day bench-making tour, he said on Thursday that development-conscious leaders are needed now more than before.

Mutua is scheduled to visit various development projects in the county before winding up his tour on Friday.

Meanwhile, Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi earlier said he was embarrassed by Uhuru and Raila's "juvenile" display at the funeral.
