Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has refuted claims that he is causing division among the Kamba community.
Briefing journalists at his Machakos office today, Mutua rubbished off the claims by some leaders saying they are untrue and unfounded.
He added that he has been on the fore front on calling for the unity of Ukambani leaders and residents.
“It is not true that I am fueling conflict among the Kamba community, those spreading the messages are malicious people,” he said.
Mutua noted that he is keen to unite Ukambani residents and leaders and that at no time has his ever engaged in activities that will cause disharmony.
The governor accused his political detractors saying they are only focused on tainting his name.
The county boss said he will remain committed to developing Machakos and called on area leaders to adopt his development slogan ‘Maendeleo Chap Chap’.
