Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has urged registered voters in Ukambani to cast their ballot on Thursday.
Dr Mutua has said that supporters of President Uhuru Kenyatta should turn up on October 26 and vote without fear.
Speaking to journalists in his office, Dr Mutua assured Machakos residents of their security and said those planning chaos will be dealt with.
"Those who want to vote will have their rights protected. Those who don't want to vote should stay at home," Governor Mutua said.
Mr Mutua further claimed that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s silence on the poll boycott meant that he does not support the call by NASA not to participate in the exercise.
"He does not want to be caught in the violence mix which can land him before the ICC," said the governor.
The county boss stated that he will meet with security agencies to find the way forward.
