Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr.Photo/mzalendo.com.A senator allied to the National Super Alliance (Nasa) has said that the Supreme Court decision to annul the August 8 presidential results came as a shock to him.
Makueni county is senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr on Wednesday told JKL Live that he was not anticipating the David Maraga-led court to uphold the petition filed by his coalition much as the decision could go either way.
"In all honesty, the ruling came as a shock to me, I did not expect it much as it could go either way", he said.
He however hailed justice Maraga for standing up to justice adding that he stands out among his peers who have held the position but failed to live up to expectations.That was a Maraga moment.He was able to do what other judges before him have failed to do when faced with presidential petitions ", he said.
Maraga led four of the seven Supreme Court judges in upholding the Raila Odinga's petition that also nullified president Uhuru Kenyatta's poll victory.
