As the August 8 approaches, the temperatures in Machakos County is skyrocketing and aspirants have resorted to using all tactics including past events to gain mileage over their opponents and Wavinya Ndeti has accused the incumbent Governor Alfred Mutua of rigging in 2013.
She lamented about how the IEBC released several results which ranked her lowly against Mutua.
The Wiper Democratic Movement gubernatorial candidate has promised Governor Mutua a replicate of what she did to Bernard Kiala during the primaries when they face off in August. She accused Mutua of not honoring his pledges.
“Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) released several results thus my victory was stolen (2013). I'm not looking at 275 thousands I will whip him with 400 thousands. The people have spoken for what Mutua has not done. I will beat him,” Wavinya said.
However, the Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) boss had earlier downplayed Wavinya’s threat. He promised only to win. According to the former government spokesperson, the only things that will shock him are the margin with which he will beat his opponent and maybe a loss to Wavinya.
“I will be shocked by the margin with which I will win. I will also be shocked if I lose,” Governor Mutua said.
