Kenya Films and Classification Board chairman Ezekiel Mutua has yet again being subjected to online ridicule following his calls to have Maasai Mara's gay lions isolated.
At an interview with the Nairobian, Mutua expressed his 'shock' adding that the two lions should be isolated for study and possibly 'counselled' by experts.
"These animals should be isolated for counselling probably because they might have been influenced by gays," he said.
Reported first by Britain's Daily Mail, the bizarre incident has elicited sharp debate both at local and international level.
And a section of Kenyans have however criticized Mutua's comments with some of them accusing him of 'ignorance'.
"Nature has a way of fighting homophobes. Mutua bans gay content only gays to appear at Maasai Mara. He might ban the park," said Kenipedia on Twitter.
Philip Mwaniki said: "Mutua should be taken to Maasai Mara and be left alone with the animals so that he can counsel them."
It is not the first time the film board boss is trending given that he has previously been embroiled in a tough war on pedophile productions.
