Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has launched a scathing attack on the Members of the County Assembly  (MCAs) for rejecting some of his nominees to the cabinet.

According to the county boss, the MCAs had ill motives after the objected his list.

“It was clear from the beginning that the vetting process had been infiltrated by malice and partisan political considerations. The committee acted in bad faith and has been hell bent to stop the Executive from executing development and providing services to wananchi,” said Governor Mutua, as quoted by Citizen.

The governor also said that the lawmakers lack knowledge on the process of vetting, adding that they decided to go personal during the vetting exercise instead of exercising partiality.

“The county executive that was in office before the elections continues being in office until a new one is vetted and appointed,” Governor Mutua said.
