Governor Alfred Mutua has exuded confidence that he will be elected president in the 2022 general election.
Speaking at the Machakos People’s park on Monday, the governor said that he has started working on strategies to boost his 2022 chances.
The governor said that his agenda is sellable adding that he is ready to battle out with other candidates who have shown interest in the top seat.
Mutua said that he believes in development politics adding that its time the country moved away from propaganda, selfishness, tribalism and marginalization.
“The journey for 2022 is on course and I know Kenyans will support my bid once that time comes,” he said.
Mutua said that he represents change Kenyans are yearning for.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) governor at the same time pleaded with Kenyans to support president Uhuru Kenyatta in as he embarks on his second term.
He asked them to ignore propaganda allegedly being propagated by the opposition against Uhuru’s leadership.
“Uhuru needs out support as Kenyans as he assumes his second term in office,” he added.
Mutua is among top politicians who have declared interest in the 2022 presidential poll.
Others are deputy president William Ruto and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka who will be flying NASA’ s ticket as per the Memorandum Understanding (MoU) his party signed with other NASA affiliate parties.
