Speaking outside the Court of Appeal after the ruling, Mutua said he will move to the Supreme Court to challenge his August 8, 2017 victory's nullification.

He also assured his supporters that he will continue with service delivery, adding that the blow will not kill his morale.

“We are still continuing with work. I assure Kenyans that I will still be on the ballot come 2022 and I will be the 5th President of Kenya. These are just small hurdles and they cannot kill my spirit, I want the best for the people of Kenya,” Mutua said.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader has maintained that he has what it takes to become the President of this nation.

He is expected to beat Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Deputy President William Ruto for the presidential seat in 2022 polls.

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has also expressed his interest in the post.

The entry of both Mutua and Kalonzo into the race for the nation’s top seat is likely to affect the Kamba vote basket.

The two leaders are forces to reckon with when it comes to the region’s politics.
