Governor Dr Alfred Mutua took Maendeleo Chap Chap campaigns to Nyandarua County in a bid o bolster support for the movement.
Mutua, in 2016, launched Maendeleo Chap Chap as a party and he intends to use it to defend his governor seat in the August polls.
In Nyandarua, he meet the movement's delegates at the Ol Kalau Catholic Hall where he assured them of free and transparent nomination exercise.
"I took time to interact with locals and traders in the town and the neighbouring Captain, Kambiaga Ward," Mutua said.
"We are taking Maendeleo Chap Chap to all the corners of the republic as we make it the party of choice for Kenyans."
Among the aspirants who accompanied the county chief were Kanja Muchina (Governor), John Metho (Senator), John Njagi (MP, Kipipiri), Samuel Ndung'u SK (MP, Kinangop) and Mwaniki Rhairu (MP, Ndaragwa).
