During an interview with Citizen TV on Wednesday, Mutua who was elected on a Wiper ticket said that his differences with Musyoka are based on ideologies.

The Machakos county boss also said that he practices a different kind of politics which the leaders cannot come to terms with.

"I have nothing personal against Wiper leaders especially Kalonzo Musyoka and my Senator Johnstone Muthama, i have big respect for them, the only reason why we seem apart is because we practice different politics," he said.

The leader who has in the recent past been seen to lean towards the Jubilee side defended his action saying that he is only working with thecoalition for the benefit of his people.

''I don't play politics of poverty and that is the reason why am working with the national government through President Kenyatta to benefit my people. I cannot just sit and watch my people suffer because i don't want to be seen with Jubilee," he added.

Mutua will be defending his seat come August on a Chapchap ticket.
