Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua has accused Members of Parliament of grabbing land.
Speaking during his appearance before the senate, the Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leader told the Public Accounts Committee that a section of politicians have grabbed land in his area.
The outspoken politician, who is accused of poor leadership, corruption, abuse of office and failure to adhere to procurement procedures, told the committee that he will reveal the names of these politicians soon.
This comes barely a week after the inspector of police called for his arrest following his refusal to appear before the senate to shed more light on various allegations labelled against him.
In his defense, Mutua said that he did not appear before the senate because there was an impeachment motion at his county assembly.
The incumbent governor was then asked to explain the status of public land in his region.
Mutua impeachment motion flopped after a section of MCAs opted to fly out of the country leading to the lack of quorum at the house during the day of the action.
A few days ago, Mutua gave Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka an ultimatum to apologize for linking him to the kidnapping of his Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala’s daughter.
