Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has threatened to disclose identities of top politicians involved in the multi-billion maize scandal at the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB).
Mutua said corruption cartels in the country are determined to fight back through thick and thin ways but they must know that their time to siphon public funds through dubious deals is over.
He spoke during a tree planting exercise in Kalama, Machakos County on Saturday.
Mutua praised President Uhuru Kenyatta over his recent efforts in the fight against graft.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader expressed his dissatisfaction with the Court of Appeal's Friday ruling that nullified his re-election as the Machakos governor.
Mutua said his call for an audit of the lifestyle of public officials to determine their suitability to serve has always rubbed some well-known lords of corruption the wrong way.
Mutua also maintained his firm stand against entrenchment and fight against corruption in the country.
"This will make our country Kenya a conducive and a suitable country to live in because when the country is free from corruption many people will secure jobs and this will lead to economic growth," Mutua said.
