Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua will tomorrow (Thursday) meet Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement delegates to chart way forward for the movement ahead of the 2017 general elections.

According to Mutua’s Director of Communication Mutinda Mwanzia, the meeting will bring together delegates from the 47 counties.

Mr Mwanzia said that the meeting that will be held at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi will be used to draft Maendeleo Chap Chap agenda and manifesto.

He added that the meeting will be also be used to endorse Maendeleo Chap Chap as a political party in readiness for 2017.

“Governor Mutua will be meeting delegates from all the 47 counties on Thursday (tomorrow) to prepare agenda for Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement as we approach the 2017 polls,” he said on phone.

The Communication Director said that Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement has opened offices in 35 counties across the country adding that more offices will be opened in the coming days.

Governor Mutua launched the Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement to spearhead development in Machakos and other parts of the country.

The launch of the Movement has been criticized by a section of politicians.

Sources say that Mutua intends to register the Moment as a political party ahead of the 2017 polls.
