Machakos Governor, Dr Alfred Mutua has come under sharp criticism over his remarks before the Senate committee on Public Accounts and Investment in which he implicated Kalonzo in a land grabbing case.
This is after Mutua alleged that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka grabbed over 4,000 acres of land in Mavoko area.
A section of Ukambani legislators has accused him of peddling lies about Kalonzo in order to discredit his clean reputation with an ultimate agenda to derail his efforts to become the next president of Kenya.
Speaking during a prayer day for Entumo Oolmakesen clan in Ilgarooj village, Kajiado West Constituency, Mavoko Member of Parliament, Patrick Makau condemned the Governor for allegedly lying to the public saying that he (Makau) has no knowledge of any parcel of land in his constituency owned by Kalonzo or any of his associates.
Mutua implicated Makau as having grabbed the East African Portland Cement Company Ltd land.
He urged the Machakos Governor to pay attention to his corruption cases before the courts.
Governor Mutua came under fire before the senate committee when he was pressed to substantiate his land grabbing allegations against Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
He was unable to provide supporting evidence of his wild allegations, which he failed, and was, therefore, forced to back down on his assertions.
