Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has launched a public audit programme dubbed Uliza Serikali as he defends his seat during the next general polls.

Under the programme, residents will evaluate his performance since he took over office following the last general polls.

The campaign will be conducted in different parts of Machakos County. According to Mutua, the programme will inform the residents about the various projects his government has initiated as well as find out whether the projects have been beneficial in their lives.

“We want to explain to the public what the governor has done and allow them an opportunity to validate whether the projects are beneficial,“ said Mutua as quoted by Capital FM.

Speaking to reporters in Machakos, Mutua said that he is dedicated to ensuring that the life of the common mwananchi is better.

“I want to continue offering transformative leadership and my focus is to provide development to my people,” Mutua added.

The outspoken governor has continued to exude confidence that he will beat his competitors hands down when that time comes.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap leader believes that his great performance scoreboard gives him an upper hand over his rivals. The governor is set to lock horns with former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti and his Deputy Bernard Kiala.
