Mutua was speaking on Thursday morning during the commissioning of the new Nation Press and printing plant in Mavoko Constituency.

"I hope our media can keep our leaders accountable because they are doing more of politicking than development to improve the lives of our people," said Mutua.

Dr Mutua further stated there was a need for the media to keep a scorecard for the elected leaders.

"We need to keep a scorecard so that our leaders know that their purpose is not to be elected and sit in big offices but to serve and if they don't do that the media should expose them so that they are not reelected again," he added.

Mutua further urged the government to do quality work by emulating the private sector.

The Nation Media Group has today launched the commissioning of a 2 billion Print Press plant.

Among those present during the press commissioning, are the founder of the NMG, H.H Aga Khan the Cabinet Secretary of Information and Communication Joe Mucheru and CEO of NMG.
