Addressing the press when he toured Machakos Level Five Hospital Friday, Mutua said that strikes and go-slows hamper service delivery.

He said that dialogue is the only tool that can be used to address the issues being raised by county staff and locals.

Mutua said his government has put in place appropriate channels through which county staff can communicate their grievances.

“The county government is ready to listen and address your problems as long as you (county workers) communicate them to us through the right channels,” said Governor Mutua.

The Governor further said that the county government is working on modalities that will see workers concerns, especially those touching on salaries and allowances are addressed.

He urged county staff to remain committed and help propel the county to greater development.

Mutua took the chance to applaud workers on their hard work that saw the county voted as the best in terms of service delivery.

“For the county to realize ‘Maendeleo Chap Chap’ we will have to devote our time and energy to work for the people,” said Mutua.
