According to the second time governor, Kenya has a constitution that needs to be followed to the latter.“We will ask the court to declare that all MCA's who unconstitutionally voted for the Peoples' Assemblies to have automatically resigned,” he said.The governor added: “Kenya is not a banana republic. We have a working constitution. Therefore, elected leaders cannot turn around and by their own vote, surrender their role to the people and then continue to serve in office.”The opposition leaders have said that they will continue with their plans to swear in Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga if President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto do not call for dialogue. The leaders have insisted that time has come for electoral injustices to come to an end.They have accused the Jubilee regime of hanging on power through illegal means. Raila, who took his fourth stab at the nation’s top seat, said that he will not recognize the leadership of the duo. He has also said that he does not fear being arrested for treason.
