Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has called upon his counterparts to stop infighting for the sake of economic grow of this nation.
Speaking to the press on Friday, Mutua said that wrangles among county bosses have hampered their quest to better the economy of this nation.
"It’s time we stop the unnecessary fights we have had amongst ourselves and work to serve the people," he said, as quoted by the Star.
The second term county boss also urged election losers to support the current regimes for growth to be realized.
"There are some politicians who lost elections and now they want to destroy the work other leaders are doing," he said.
Mutua, who has been very vocal in matters of national interest also called upon the national treasury to speed the release of funds to counties. He noted that little is going on at the counties because of the lack of funds.
He, however, said that the county boss are working hard to improve the areas.
"County governments have scored above average despite not getting sufficient funds from the national treasury. There are still development projects that we have done with the little funds we get," he added.
