[Photo| Kenya West]Busia county woman representative Florence Mutua has cautioned the Acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet against harassment of Busia leaders and youths.Matayos MP Geoffrey Odanga was arrested over incitement claims and interrogated for two hours before being released without any charges levelled against him.Through a statement on Thursday, Mutua noted that the unwarranted arrests of leaders and youth from the county after the "sham" October 26 repeat presidential election should stop with immediate effect."Busia is one of the Counties where over 90 per cent of the voters did not participate in the sham elections and any votes garnered are still suspect to date. We did not participate in the elections because we have two options in the constitution and we chose not to; so why we being harassed is unclear," Mutua said.Reports also indicate a number of youths have been detained following the election chaos."We have seen people being killed and several injured by the police or militia groups and yet no arrests have been made. Targeted boys are arraigned in courts and hefty fines imposed on them," she noted."Busia County is an ODM/NASA stronghold. We are waiting on the way forward from our leaders Raila Odinga including putting the People's Assemblies in place and economic boycott on some targeted products," Mutua added.
