Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has claimed that some politicians in the county are inciting county workers to boycott their duties.
Mutua on Tuesday said there is evidence that some politicians want to derail service delivery by inciting workers to strike.
He claimed that the county has information on the activities of the politicians and warned them against inciting workers.
"We are aware that some people are working hard to disrupt county activities by inciting workers to boycott work," he said, adding that his government will not allow such politicians to go on with their ill motives.
Mutua said that his enemies are envious of the development record in Machakos and want to tarnish the county.
He stated that he will not be scared by selfish politicians adding that his agenda is to transform the lives of Machakos residents.
The Machakos governor however said that he will act tough on workers who down tools without valid reasons.
He asked county staffs who have grievances to present them to him.
He said that service delivery is the key objective of the county and whoever fails to deliver will be dealt with accordingly.
Last week, medical services were disrupted following a strike by doctors in the county.
A section of leaders in the county have accused Mutua of failing to engage with county workers.
