Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader Alfred Mutua has continued to drum up support for the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the Ukambani region.
On Sunday, the Machakos County Governor took the campaigns to Mwingi West constituency, where he urged the locals to give the Head of State another chance to complete the work he has started, Capital News reports.
Speaking at the African Inland Church (AIC) Kea, Migwani, Mutua said he was supporting President Kenyatta's re-election bid due to his development agenda.
“He needs a second term to fast track development projects at regional and national levels,” he urged.
Mutua said the Kamba community, though perceived to be inclined to the Opposition, will not be left behind if President Kenyatta is given another term.
“The President had assured me that professionals from this region will get senior state appointments in his government,” Mutua said urging the residents to support the government in August elections.
