Machakos Deputy Governor Eng Francis Maliti has warned local residents against vandalizing public resources. The second in command at the county level said that a stern action will be taken against residents who will go against the wishes of the county government.

He was speaking when he commissioned a borehole at Ivumbuni Village in Yatta Sub-county. The deputy governor also said that the launch of the new project comes at the right time, adding that it will benefit residents of this county.

"I am happy to see wananchi from this locality enjoy free tap water; a manifestation of our promise to them during our first term in office," Maliti posted on his Facebook account.

The deputy was accompanied by County Secretary Francis Mwaka, MCAs; Nicholas Mutuku- Katanga Judas Ndawa - Matuu, Joshua Muli - Ndalani, Francis Kalumu – Kithimani, Phoebe Koki - Nominated, Jacqueline Nziva – Ikombe.
