Maendeleo Chap Chap candidate for Baringo Central MP seat Joshua Kandie has beaten Jubilee Party and KANU candidates.

Maendendeleo Chap Chap is headed by Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua, who beat his rival, Wavinya Ndeti, to retain his seat. 

Ndeti, however, disputed the results.

Kandie attained 15,171 votes, beating Jubilee candidate David Kiplagat who came in second with 14,030 votes while Eddy Koimett of Kanu got 2,491 votes.

He was handed the victory certificate on Thursday by IEBC officials.

Kandie pledge to ensure development in his constituency.
